I went to NYC and stayed with an old friend from school in Louisiana and her partner and their two super awesome children- Halle and Spencer. One night we ventured out to Coney Island. It was LOUD and the kids couldn't possibly hear the direction I was giving them, but we tried anyhow. We decided to pull out and head to the board walk and the beach and shoot some out there. I turned around and saw the awesome silhouette of the rides and people. I knew there was a shot there, but I wanted some height for the kids and something to give them more definition. There were trash cans everywhere on the beach, but unfortunately hardly anyone using them (trash GALORE). I turned one over and wah-lah. It was just as spectacular of an image watching as it was in the camera (not so typical). Trust the image to come and it will. I live by this.
